This tour is unquestionably one of the most popular. It’s a desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga in 3 Days full of new discoveries. A curated journey through the experience
Tizi n Tichka
We’ll cross the Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, which is the highest in the range at around 2,200 meters above sea level, leaving behind breathtaking panoramic views and Berber settlements where time seems to have stood still.
1 hourAit Ben Haddou
We will visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou a few kilometers before Ouarzazate, which is renowned as Morocco’s Hollywood because of its famed studios. A tour around its adobe perimeter will show us why it was awarded a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. (optional entrance). We’ll also make a photo stop at the Taourirt Kasbah.
2 hoursVallee Des Roses
Day 2: From Dades Valley to Merzouga desert via Toudra Gorges
1 hourtodra gorges
The second day of this journey through the Moroccan desert begins with an energetic breakfast at the riad and will end in Merzouga and its famous dunes of Erg Chebbi. But first, the day has another major attraction: the Todra Gorges. This is the name given to the rocky walls of up to 200 meters that have been chiseled over the years by the Todra River. The road here makes unlikely twists and turns and offers views typical of science fiction, and we will descend to walk through some of its most emblematic sections.
2 hoursErg Chebbi
Day 3: From Merzouga Desert To Marrakech Via Agdz
2 hoursRissani
The previous day’s stunning sunset and majestic starry sky continue in the third day’s sunrise, which you can see from the camp. With the dawn of a new day, it will be time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast and then relax with a relaxing shower, which will be provided either in the camp or in a Merzouga hotel, depending on the package selected. After that, we’ll drive to Rissani, where we’ll explore its medina, which is one of the most beautiful in the country’s south.
2 hoursDraa Valley
We’ll then travel to other communities in this part of the Moroccan desert, including Alnif and Tazarine. We’ll also pass through the Draa Valley, which is home to North Africa’s largest palm grove. Agdz, a traditional halt on caravan routes that today houses places of interest like the Kasbah des Arts, is one of the towns along the route that exemplifies this.
