URBAN EXPLORATION, often shortened as urbex is the exploration of man-made structures, usually abandoned ruins that were once important and in use, and today they stand as a reminder of some other times. A perfect example is the so-called „Spomeniks “ – memorial structures and monuments built in the period between the 1950 s and 1990s during Tito’s Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Their purpose was to honor people’s resistance and suffering during WWII.
