Benissa
From Club 55, we drive into Moraira and follow the winding coast road with fabulous sea views to Benissa Costa, where we take the road up into the hills with stunning sea views alongside and on into Benissa.
20 minutesJalon Valley
We drive through the beautiful Jalon valley, famous for different colours throughout the year, whether for the cherry or almond blossoms or bright citrus fruits, or the plentiful vibrant vineyards. The winding roads take us to the foot of the mountains beyond, where we start our ascent!
20 minutesCarrer Coll de Rates
On this half day tour, we ascend the stunning Col de Rates, famous mountain climb where all the top cycling teams practise each year. With fabulous views of the Costa Blanca and even across the Mediterranean Sea to Ibiza. We stop at the peak where we enjoy a drink and take in the panoramic views.
20 minutesCastell de Castells
Once we have reached the peak, we start our slow descent through Tarbena and then a stunning road through the mountains, which includes two great driving features, the 'big dipper' and the 'helter skelter'. Then we reach the village of Castell de Castells and start our descent back down to the coast.
Parque Natural del Montgo
After descending back to sea level we pass through Pedreguer, Xara and then drive alongside the imposing and majestic Montgo Mountain always impressive and changing colours through the day and ending with the beautiful sunset reds and oranges.
30 minutesCarretera del Cap de Sant Antoni
Before entering Javea, we head along another winding coastal road along side of the Montgo mountain and then toward the Cap de San Antonio, where we drive along the peninsular (the Costa Blanca equivalent of Florida keys) to the lighthouse and a point where we are surrounded on 270 degrees bey water. Another nice photo opportunity. Great views back down to Javea, where we will shortly descend.
30 minutesJavea
We continue into Javea to the Port and then drive alongside the coastal road and into the Arenal beach area. From here we continue back toward Benitatxell.
15 minutesCumbre del Sol
Finally in Benitatxell, we turn off toward Cumbre del Sol and head to the the top of the mountain and the amazing panoramic views over 100kms of coastline and out to the Balearic Islands. A perfect last photo opportunity on this great half day tour!
