20 minutesMustafapasa
Mustafapaşa Town is a place that sheds light on the recent history of both Turkey and Cappadocia. Upon the population exchange clause of the agreement signed at the end of the Turkish War of Independence, Turks living in Greece were sent to Turkey, and Greeks living in Turkey were sent to Greece. Now Turks live in Mustafapaşa, a town belonging to this exchange period. With the little walk we will take, you will witness the unique examples of Greek Architecture, which still preserves its structure as on the first day.
40 minutesKeslik Monastery
In the Keşlik Monastery, which is one of the important examples of monastic life in Cappadocia, you will have the opportunity to see many structures such as the church, the winery, the kitchen, the dining hall, the school, the meeting hall, the houses where the monks and priests stay.
45 minutesTaşkınpaşa
The mihrab, doors and windows of Taşkınpaşa Madrasa in the masjid are made of smooth cut stones, and its walls are built of rubble stones. Although the top cover was completely destroyed, it is understood from the stairs to the left of the entrance that it has at least two floors.
20 minutesSobesos Ancient City
When the ruins of the Ancient City of Sobesos were found by chance in 2002, it was first thought to be the capital of the Ancient Kingdom of Cappadocia, but no scientific basis has been reached to prove this until today. It is known that the name of the city, which was Swa or Swassa in ancient times, was called Sobesos in the Roman and Byzantine periods.
45 minutesSoganli Valley
After a short walk in Soğanlı Valley, we will have lunch in a restaurant completely surrounded by greenery.
1 hour 30 minutesDerinkuyu Yeralti Sehri
The Derinkuyu Underground City, which was discovered in 1963 and opened to visitors in 1967, is named after 52 drinking water wells at a depth of around 70 meters. Since the discovery of Derinkuyu Underground City, which covers a total area of 4 square kilometers, only 8 layers of 2.5 square kilometers have been cleaned and opened to visitors. The approximate depth of the 8 floors opened to visitors is 50 meters. It is thought that Derinkuyu Underground City can reach a depth of approximately 85 meters and be completed to 12-13 floors if all its floors are cleaned.
1 hourPigeon Valley
The Güvercinlik Valley, which starts from Uçhisar and extends to Göreme and covers an area of 4 kilometers, got its name from the pigeon nests carved into the rocks. The people of the region fed these pigeons until the 9th century and used their manure in the vineyards and their eggs in the plaster of the frescoes. If you want to see both the pigeon's nests and the unique vegetation offered by nature, this stop will meet your need.
