Temple of Heaven
Your friendly tour guide will pick up from your Beijing hotel in early morning and start this exciting 2-day tour of Beijing. Your first stop is Temple of Heaven, which was originally used by the Ming and Qing emperors to pay homage to Heaven and to pray for a year of rich harvest. Walk along the area, beside learning the history from your tour guide, you will also see many locals play Taichi, sing songs, or dance here. It's now a very popular place particularly for Beijing's seniors. If you like, you are very welcome to join them.

Followed by a visit to the Lama Temple, the most celebrated Buddhist temple in Beijing. It is one of the largest and most influential one in China, and was the only temple to have been said to have survived in the Cultural Revolution, and only reopened to the public in 1981.

Then you will enjoy a tasty lunch at one of the best Yunnanese restaurant 'Lost Heaven'. It is part of the old US-Embassy complex and situated close to Tian'anmen Square. The Yunnan food is excellent, the atmosphere very pleasing, a melange of old traditional Chinese with modern architecture, accomplished with lots of flowers.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall - Summer Palace(L)

You will be picked up around 8:00am and head to the Mutianyu Great Wall, located Northeast ,about 90 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. This section is regarded the most beautiful section, combined the restored and wild parts, there are hand rails to help you up on the very steep parts and the views are spectacular.
2 hoursHome of the Great Wall
After 2 or 3 hours on explore the Wall, you will have lunch at a special restaurant which locates on the top of the mountain. You can clearly see the Great Wall and enjoy the beautiful scenery while enjoying the delicious Chinese food.
