Basilica of St. Castor
The Basilica of St. Kastor is a Roman Catholic church in the old town of the German city of Koblenz. The church was built in the years 817-836 and is located at the Deutsches Eck, a spit of land between the rivers Moselle and Rhine.
Deutsches Eck (German Corner)
The most famous memorial in this German city. The artificial headland marks the mouth of the Moselle into the Rhine. On Deutsches Eck is a national monument to German unity.
Historiensaule
Fountain containing a large column that tells the past of 2000 years of Koblenz. A lot of tourists come here. Also tourists from the big tourist boats.
Kurfurstliches Schloss
The Electoral Palace in Koblenz was the residence of the last Archbishop and Elector of Trier.
Schangelbrunnen
Fountain with bronze statue of a boy, made by Carl Burger and dedicated to the poet Josef Cornelius.
Pegelhaus
The level house built around 1609, it initially served as a Rhine crane. Then in 1839 as the gauge house station. The crane on the roof was removed around 1900 and the building was expanded by another floor for the 2011 Federal Horticultural Show.
Jesuitenplatz
You wander through Koblenz and then you come to this photogenic square. Cozy atmosphere, beautiful facades, nice terraces.
Vier Turme
The Vier Türme (four towers) are an ensemble of four historic buildings in the Koblenz old town at the crossing of Am Plan - Löhrstraße - Altengraben
Liebfrauenkirche
The Church of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic church in the old town. At the highest point of the city, the church, together with the Saint Kastor and Saint Florinus churches, defines the silhouette of the old city center.
Munzplatz
The Münzplatz square is located in the old town of Koblenz, its name is reminiscent of the former electoral coin (Münze).
Preussisches Regierungsgebaude
The Prussian government building in the Koblenz Rhine Park was the seat of the Prussian government for the Koblenz administrative district of the Rhine Province.
Rathaus (town hall)
The town hall of the city of Koblenz is now in the former Jesuit college in the old town.
Florinskirche
St. Florin's Church is an evangelical church in the center of the German city of Koblenz. The church built around the year 1100 belonged to the Florinusstift.
Alte Burg
The Old Castle was a former substantial moated castle owned by the Elector in the German city of Koblenz, founded in the 13th century. Today it has been reduced to the later Burghaus; where the city archive is located.
Herz Jesu Kirche
It is one of the most important Romanesque church buildings in Germany. The church has been on the World Heritage List since 2002.
Balduinbrucke
A 14th century stone bridge over the Moselle River and the oldest surviving bridge in Koblenz, connects the old town with the Lützel district.
