Reichstag Building
The Reichstag was built in 1894 for the first German parliament. After World War I it became home to the Parliament of the Weimar Republic. Then, it 1933, shortly after Hitler's rise to power, a fire destroyed much of the inside and the building was closed. Hitler did not need a parliament. It wasn't until reunifacation that the building was restored and the new German Parliament was ready to move in.

The Brandenburg Gate may well be Berlin's, no, Germany's most famous landmark.
10 minutesUnter den Linden
Unter den Linden begins at the Hohenzollern Palace and ends at the Brandenburg Gate. Some of Berlin's oldest buildings such as the Opera and the Kronprinzenpalais are located here.
Potsdamer Platz Tiegarten
Visit Sony Center with its amazing architecture and see Germany's oldest traffic light. See the remains of the Berlin Wall and architecture by Renzo Piano, Hans Kollhoff and Helmut Jahn.

On the site of the former SS and Gestapo Headquarter, the buildings' foundation have been excavated and a Documentation Center has been added. You will also see the remains of the Berlin Wall.

This was definitely the most famous of the checkpoints of the Berlin Wall. This one was reserved for Military Personnel and foreign, mostly American visitors who wanted to enter the Eastern Part of the City during the Cold War.

Berlin's most beautiful square with the German Dome on one side and the French Dome on the other. In the center: Schinkel's Konzerthaus.

The Berlin Dome is Germany's largest Protestant Church modeled after St. Peters. The Hohenzollern used to worship here and many of their family members, among them King Friedrich Wilhelm I and his wife are buried here.
