Lawudo Gompa Retreat Trekking
Lawudo Gompa Retreat Trekking
Lawudo Gompa is the meditation spot and retreat cave of Lama Zopa (Kopan Monastery, Kathmandu), a leading figure of Tibetan / Himalayan Buddism. Located far from any of the tourist hustle and bustle of the Mt Everest region, the area provides a pristine atmosphere with views of the surrounding mountains. Lawudo is looked after by the sister of Lama Zopa and few devotees who reside there at a small monastery and huts built to accommodate visitors.
This trek combined with Namchebazaar, Everest Panorama is designed to present true insight of the Himalayan cultural heritage that's rare in commercial trekking activities.
