Karakoy
We will have our Turkish breakfast in Karakoy which includes Turkish menemen, pastry, kaymak, and honey.
1 hourIstiklal Caddesi
Following breakfast, we will catch a funicular up to Pera and walk along the famous Istiklal street and give a break for a cup of tea/Turkish coffee.
1 hourKadikoy Carsisi
In the afternoon we will catch a ferry from the European side of Istanbul to the Asian side to Kadikoy (Kalkedon ancient name that means the city of the blind). We will wander around the Kadikoy fish market where you can sample pickles. Turkish people love their pickles and we will visit a shop that only sells pickles. We will also stop at one of the most popular restaurants in Istanbul where you can sample the original tastes of Turkey, a food lover's paradise serving home cook style regional cuisines and mezes/appetizers.
2 hoursKadikoy Carsisi
A Turkish food tour would not be complete without sampling Turkish coffee and desserts. So after indulging, we will then catch a ferry back to the European side of Istanbul where the tour will conclude. And of course, there are our delicious secret dishes, too.
