Palau de la Balmesiana
The first point of interest lays at few meters from the meeting point. In fact we will stand in a small square called Plaça del Vuit de Març where we will see two very interesting buildings: Palau de la Balmesiana, a Neo Gothic building and the remains of the Roman Aqueduct of Barcelona that is about 2000 years old.

The piece of art is dedicated to the concept of freedom and love and its meaning is connected to the history of the city.
5 minutesMuralla Romana
We will then admire a portion of the ancient Roman Wall that used to surround Barcelona about 20 centuries ago.
5 minutesCasa de l'Ardiaca
Our next stop will be at Casa de l’Ardiaca in which courtyard is located a fountain that has a very peculiar shape. After that we will reach Plaça Sant Felipe Neri, a beautiful little square characterized by a dark past.
10 minutesCathedral of Barcelona
The tour starts near Saint Eulalia Cathedral, one of the most important churches of Barcelona. There I will tell you about the legend of Saint Eulalia and about Barcelona's foundation.
5 minutesPalau Reial Major
We will then walk to the Royal Palace of Barcelona and I will show you the place where it is said that Christopher Columbus was received by the king and the queen of Spain after his first trip to America.
10 minutesPlaca de Sant Jaume
The tour will then reach Plaça Sant Jaume, one of the most important squares of the city, where we’ll see the facade of the palace of the regional government.
5 minutesPont del Bisbe
After that we’ll head to Pont del Bisbe, probably the most photographed spots of the old town which is also connected to several urban legends because of its exoteric decorations.
5 minutesPlaca Sant Felip Neri
A few minutes later we will reach one of the most characteristic squares of Barcelona Old Town, named "Plaça Sant Felipe Neri". The square host the church were the arquitect Antoni Gaudí used to go every day to attend mass. The square is known also for a dramatic fact that happened during the Spanish Civil War and that I will tell you once there.

The next stop is located inside Barcelona Medieval Jewish district, where one of the synagogues was located. Once there I will tell you about the life of the Jewish community of Barcelona and about its dramatic story.
10 minutesBasilica de Santa Maria del Pi
We will then explore the old misterious Jewish district and walk towards the church of Santa Maria del Pi. There I will tell you about the history of the church and about a legend related to the bell tower.
5 minutesLa Rambla
We will then head to La Rambla, the most important street in Barcelona. There I will show you the façade of Teatre Liceu, a mosaic from Joan Miró and the entrance of La Boqueria market, the most important food market of Barcelona.
5 minutesPlaca Reial
After that, we will reach one of the most iconic squares of Barrio Gotico called Plaça Reial. The square is characterized by the presence of arches, palm trees and restaurants. It's architecture is pretty unique comparing to the other squares of the city. In the centre of the square there is an interesting fountain from the XIX century and at its sides, there are two peculiar street lights made by Antoni Gaudí, the arquitect of Sagrada Familia.
