Meet your English speaking guide at an easy-to-find central location near Shichahai area. Then hop on your private van and travel throughout central Beijing, visit 4 restaurants specializing in regional cuisine from 4 different provinces in China, learn about the culture and history that has shaped China’s regional cuisine. Chow down on the largest plate of chicken you’ve ever seen at a restaurant specializing in Xinjiang cuisine from China’s Northwestern-most province. Discover exotic flavors and roasted meat from Yunnan province, any Beijinger’s favorite regional cuisine. Take an adventure through Beijing’s narrowest alleyway to a hidden restaurant specializing in local Beijing dishes.
Between tastings, sample local beverages paired with each cuisine such as freshly made fruit juice, tea and beer. The tour finishes with cooking your own skewered meats and vegetables in a hip Sichuan hot pot joint.
