Depart from your Sorrento hotel in the morning for your private day trip to the Amalfi Coast on the back of a classic Vespa. Cruise along the southern side of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula as your guide safely maneuvers you around the extraordinary curves of this UNESCO World Heritage–listed coast. Strap on your helmet and adjust your shades as you capture memories of this famous coastline.

Ease into your Vespa ride exploring Sorrento, a charming town famous for limoncello and views of the Bay of Naples, where it is said that the Roman emperor Caligula built a bridge of boats across the bay and rode across in a chariot. In the distance, see the island of Capri and Mt Vesuvius.

Enjoy a break for cake and coffee an hour into the tour, and then continue to the town of Amalfi, the former trading power in the Mediterranean in the 9th and 10th centuries. At lunch time, grab a traditional Italian meal at a local restaurant in the lovely Atrani (own expense) to enjoy the most genuine traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
