You will get to know notable characters such a Licoricia of Winchester of the stories of many bishops that work hard to give the city its hard earned reputation. All that remains of Winchester Castle, the Great Hall has been filming location for period dramas such as the Hollow Crown. It Also used to be the court, and is home to the famous Round Table of King Arthur.
45 minutesThe Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum
The area of the Winchester Barracks is another historical place in Winchester as this used to be part of the castle and the barracks for the city

One of the most spectacular Gothic cathedrals in England, we will talk about its humble origins in the Anglo Saxon period, to its full glory that you see today.

Part of the top 5 colleges in the UK. This is an iconic building in the city, and next to the house were Jane Austen died in Winchester.
Wolvesey Castle College Street
Now in ruins, this was once the palace for the bishop of Winchester, and the venue where Queen Mary and Phillip II of Spain had breakfast during their wedding.
