Transfagarasan Highway and Bran Castle Day Trip From Brasov
This tour combines sightseeing with history and culture. If your time in Brasov is limited you can tick two very important boxes of Transylvania by visiting the Bran (Dracula) Castle and the Transfagarasan highway in the same day. While you can visit Bran 365 days per year, the mountain road is only open a few months during the summer and autumn.
During the Transfagarasan day trip we drive close to the altitude of 2050 meters above sea level. On the road we stop at the Balea Waterfall. Here we check out the souvenir shops and taste some of the local snacks.

We do several stops on the road for photo sessions and admiring of the beautiful landscape.

Souvenirs and various local snacks are found here. We stop for a short walk and for checking out the small shops.
30 minutesLe Lac Balea
Situated at an altitude of 2034 meters above sea level the lake provides a peaceful and spectacular ambience. We will hike around it and have drinks or lunch on the terrace that overviews the lake.

Guided tour of the garden and the inside of the castle is included in this trip. A spectacular medieval castle that's linked to the Dracula legend.
