You start today's itinerary by visiting the Reykjanes peninsula. The first stop is the famous Bridge between continents, where you can stand between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates.

You spend some time visiting this geothermal area, which features steam vents, hot mud pools, and an incredible landscape shaped by the minerals in the ground. You see vibrant hues on steaming surfaces with the Reykjanes lighthouse in the background. This is undoubtedly a place not to miss!

Day 2: Borgarfjörður fjord and its waterfalls

Start your day by getting to know a little bit of culture to the itinerary with a stop at Reykholt near Borgarfjörður. This highly historical site from medieval times is home to Icelandic Sagas.

Nearby Hraunfoss is located Barnafoss or children waterfall. Barnafoss is a powerful gust of water that emerges through a lava opening.
50 minutesDeildartunguhver Hot Springs
You stop at Deildartunguhver, Europe's largest hot spring located in Reykjadalur or the "valley of smoke". From a safe distance, you see massive bubbles formation in the 97°C water and feel the generated heat on your face.
30 minutesBudakirkja
You continue exploring the south coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula with a short stop at Búdir church. The latter one is among the three black churches in Iceland, making it an extremely sough spot by photographers. A little further, you find the Búdir hotel. It does happen that every once and a while, seals are spotted in the sea.
2 hoursArnarstapi
Arnarstapi is worth a small stop as the area is renowned for its beauty. The beach is fascinating because erosion carved an arch right in the stone, called Gatklettur, or simply hole in the cliff.
35 minutesVatnshellir Cave
At 3 PM, you explore an 8,000-year-old lava tube located 32 meters under the ground! This is truly a fantastic lava formation where robust flows created an anti-chamber accessible by spiral stairs. Equipped with a helmet and headlight, you descend deep under the surface.
1 hour 10 minutesDjúpalónssandur beach
Djúpalónssandur is a black pebble beach where sailors were selected right on that spot long ago. Men's strength was tested by lifting up big rocks (23 to 155 kg) and heavy drifted wood logs and carrying or throwing them as far as possible. Today, we can still see the rocks and many logs on the shore together with the remainder of a rusty shipwreck. The site is kept untouched to connect with history.

Day 5: Akureyri and Lake Mývatn

On your way to Lake Mývatn, you visit Godafoss waterfall or the waterfall of the gods. Legend has it that in the year 1,000, Þorgeir, who made Christianity official in Iceland, threw statues of the Norse gods in the waterfall. The chute is an impressive 12 meters high and 30 meters wide.

The day would not be completed without a visit to Dimmuborgir. The latter is a large lava field where caves and arches were formed during a powerful eruption 2,300 years ago. Take some time to roam around the park dedicated to this lava field's formations.

The next stop is Skútustadagígar pseudo craters. That is a perfect place for walking around an interesting geological formation. It is also an excellent location for bird watching.

Day 6: Húsavik & Akureyri - Diamond Circle

Húsavik is the place to be for a Whale Watching Tour! You go for a three-hour sea adventure at 9:45 AM where you would see whales in their habitat but could spot some dolphins jumping out of the water as they travel in groups.

Ásbyrgi is an original shoe-shaped canyon formed eight to ten thousand years ago, right after the glacial flooding. Today, the canyon is an incredible woodland place that has a small lake in its heart. The cliffs are about 100 meters high, and the canyon features many walking paths, which would take you to wonder how the site used to be back in the last Ice Age.

The itinerary takes you around the Tjornes peninsula in the north of Iceland, where Dettifoss waterfall is your first stop. The waterfall is an impressive 100 meters wide and 45 meters high chute from where you can feel the ground trembling.

After visiting this amazing crater field, we suggest you take a break "in the middle of nowhere" and taste delicious coffee in a cozy atmosphere, in Fjallakaffi. If you are hungry you can order a kjötsúpa in this restaurant which is – a lamb soup, one of the traditional Icelandic dishes. Note that this is only our suggestion, no meal or beverage is included in the tour price. If you choose to come here, it will take you around 1 hour and 40 minutes, including the driving time from the geothermal area.

The next stop takes you to Rjúkandi waterfall, which is just outside of Egilsstadir. The landscape until Mývatn is somewhat lunar-like, with surprising sites along the way!

Day 8: East Coast and Seydisfjordur Fjord

For the first stop of the day, you will be visiting Borgarfjardarhofn, an excellent place for photography and bird watching. If you visit Iceland between April and August, this is a perfect spot to see many species of birds. But if you are particularly interested in seeing puffins, the best time is between the end of April and the middle of August. These cute birds are one of the Iceland symbols, and we are sure that you would fall in love with them.

Studlagil Canyon is one of the most visited sites on the East coast. The stunning basalt rock columns and blue water river make it a must-see in Iceland. The place is breathtaking and worthy of staying for a little bit longer. You admire the canyon from the viewing platform, or you can go down to the gorge!

If you fancy a short hike, you can visit Fardagafoss Waterfall. (1 hour both ways). It is good to mention that tourists do not frequent the place so you would have the site for yourselves.

Another hidden gem of Iceland. This waterfall is not very popular but is worth seeing! It is located between Egilsstadir and Seydisfjodur and requires only 5-minute parking space.

Day 9: Eastern Iceland

Hallormsstaður is Iceland's most significant forest, which has many varieties of trees and is also home to wild reindeers! In early spring, you might encounter some roaming around while you walk along with one of the walking paths of the forest.

Day 10: Diamond Beach and Vatnajokull glacier hike

Be ready to have an outer-world experience today! The Diamond beach is a beautiful black beach where thousands of ice blocks from the glacier lie around. They are of numerous sizes and shapes and glitter in the sunlight just as diamonds do!

At 10.30 am, you experience a unique: amphibian boat tour, sailing between the stunning huge icebergs of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. During this 35 minutes trip, you will be able to taste 1000-year-old ice and learn about geology and the lagoon facts from an English-speaking guide. Don't forget to take a camera! You can take a selfie with seals in the picturesque glacier background with a little bit of luck.

Get ready for a hiking experience today! At 2.00 pm, start the Skaftafell glacier hike and walk on top of the Falljökull outlet, part of the Vatnajökull glacier.

Vík in Mýrdal is a charming village on the south coast by the seashore. It is niched between the Mýrdasjokull glacier, the Jokulsá and Blautavísl rivers, and the long stretch of black beach.

Next, you visit the Reynisfjara beach and its well-renowned cliff Reynisfjall. The basalt columns of the cliff wall provide a unique atmosphere to the site. You may like to sit on some of them and gaze at the three basalt rock formations which proudly stand out of the mighty Atlantic Sea. Rumor has it that they are the remains of trolls who wanted to reach the shore but got caught by daylight.

Dyrhólaey or Doorhill Island remains what used to be an island thousands of years ago. The promenade is a 120 meters rock formation that has a gaping hole in the middle where ships used to sail through. Today, Dyrhólaey is a top-rated site in Iceland and is home to many bird species.

Many beautiful waterfalls are on the program today! The first is the impressive Skógafoss waterfall fed by the melting waters from Eyjafjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull glaciers. Rise and shine! Now is time to make new friends with Icelandic horses at Eldhestar. The horse riding "TOUR 2A - The Heritage Tour "(at 2.00 pm) is an excellent tour for all riders to get acquainted with these beautiful creatures while in the countryside.

Day 13: Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon

You start the Golden Circle route´s exploration with a visit to Þingvellir national park. Þingvellir is not only a geological marvel where Oxara waterfall and Silfra Fissure were born out of the continental drift splitting the earth's crust at various locations, but it is also an important historical and political site. The park is UNESCO World Heritage. Note that the entrance to the park is free, however, there is a parking fee you have to pay, which is not included in the tour price.

Gullfoss waterfall is an impressive chute 32 meters high. It falls dramatically into a deep crevasse covering the entire surrounding with water spray. It is common to see many rainbows when the droplets catch the sunlight.

30 minutesSecret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin
It is time for you to experience a geothermal bath! We have selected a visit to the beautiful and seclusive Secret Lagoon at 4.00 pm. The latter was built in 1891 near the geyser Litli Geysir, which provides the Secret Lagoon with warm waters and puts up a show with spouting activities every few minutes apart to the joy of its visitors.

The famous Sun Voyager sculpture has been created by Jón Gunnar Árnason, who, through his piece, wanted to convey a message of hope and freedom. The statue is placed right by the sea with majestic mountains in the background. It is for sure something not to miss!
