Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)
Your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel (within the 3rd ring road) and take you straight to Tian'anmen Square by metro or bus based on your hotel location. On arrival, learn more about the massive square and it's impressive landmarks.
30 minutesForbidden City-The Palace Museum
Continue walking through the Peaceful Gate Under Heaven to the Forbidden City, and spend around 2 hours exploring the magnificent palace.
2 hoursHall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian)
Inside the Forbidden city, you will visit most important buildings such as the Hall of Great Harmony, the Hall of Central Harmony and Hall of Preserving Harmony.
30 minutesInner Court
Then walking towards to the inner Court of the Forbidden City.
Palace of Heavenly Purity
Here, you will visit the Hall of Heavenly Purity, The Hall of Union and The Hall of Earthly Tranquility.
20 minutesThe Imperial Garden of The Palace Museum
Pass through the Imperial Garden, you will exit the Forbidden City from North Gate.
Lotus Lane
After exiting the Forbidden City from the North Gate, take a public bus to Lotus Lane, where you'll enjoy a tasty Chinese-style lunch in a restaurant looking out over Shichahai lake.
Shichahai Scenic Resort
After lunch, pick up your rental bikes and pedal through the surrounding hutongs and Shichahai lake area. Along the way, pass the three lakes — Qianhai, meaning Front Sea; Houhai, meaning Back Sea; and Xihai, meaning West Sea — and stop to admire historic landmarks and learn more about traditional life in Beijing.
