This tour is a 101 Kabuki tour for people who have or will buy Kabuki-za theatre tickets. Unfortunately, there are no English subtitle devices available. However, we would like to provide detailed English-language summaries of the all performances in advance of you joining our tour.
There are 3 different shows a day and talks are tailored for each show. The 9am talk is a great fit for the 11am show; likewise the 12:30pm for the 2:45pm show(Jan) or 2:50pm show (Feb.), 4pm for the 6pm show (Feb), 4:45pm for the 6:45pm show (Jan). Highlights of the performances and an overview of Kabuki history, performance style, actors etc in the talk will enhance your experience.

Kabukiza Theater
The Kabuki talk starts with an explanation of the history of the theatre and your guide will take your photo in front of the theatre if you would like.
20 minutesKobikichō Square
Kabuki themed shopping area on the basement floor of the theatre. We will stroll and stop by the shops. Your guide would help you to purchase your lunch box style meals for your lunch/dinner at the theatre.
20 minutesKabukiza Tower
We will visit the models of the old theatres and portraits of ancestors of Kabuki actors are displayed on the fourth floor.
10 minutesJugetsudo Tea Shop & Cafe
The main talk will take place at the Japanese tea shop in the rooftop garden. Please note the April main talk take place at No.5 tea shop as below.

- Kabukiza Theatre's operations The theatre operates by limiting the audience to half the venue's capacity. One section of the auditorium will be sold in two-seat blocks, with every third seat vacant. Temperature measurements and hand sanitizing are carried out for admissions to the theatre. etc.
