Poon Hill Trek is the most beautiful part of Annapurna region. So that most people specially do this trek with their children as it is an easy trek of Annapurna region where all aged group people can complete this trek successfully. The food and accommodation in this trek is quite modern and has good heating system in dining room.

Especially if we have climbed to Poon Hill for excellent panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range in the morning that we stayed in Ghorepani; we can feel that we are far enough and got enough adventure experience within a very short duration. The views are perfect where ever you are in the corner. Huge mountains are always standing just in front of your face. Especially numbers of Annapurna range, Mt. Dhaulagiri and Fishtail Mountain always keep knocking your eyes to keep looking their beauty and shinning.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bus drive from Kathmandu -Pokhara (820m). 6-7 hours.

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
Early morning, we drive to Pokhara enjoying the green landscape and villages along the highway. Driving alongside rivers and streams, we arrive in the City of Lakes, Pokhara. Enjoy the beauty of Lakeside, Pokhara.

Accommodation included: Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Pokhara- Nayapul - Ulleri 1960m. 5-6 hours

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
After an hour quick drive to Nayapul we start the trek as we cross the suspension bridge over Modi Khola and climb up on steep stone stairs towards Ulleri. In Ulleri, we will get a beautiful view of Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), and other peaks.

Day 3: Ulleri - Ghorepani (2874m). 4-5 hours

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
Leaving Ulleri we walk through the rhododendron forest on carefully placed stone steps to reach Ulleri. Later, we pass through the villages of Banthanti and Nangge Thanti situated on the bank of Bhurungdi Khola. Continuing our trek alongside Bhurungdi Khola whilst enjoying the view of the Annapurna massif, we arrive in the Gurung village of Ghorepani.

Day 4: Ghorepani- Poon Hill- Tadapani (2630m). 6-7 hours.

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
Before sunrise we hike up to Poon Hill to experience the majestic sunrise and its enchanting effects on the mountains including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs, Machhapuchhre (6993m), and Patal Hiunchuli (6441m) among others. Afterward, we hike back to Ghorepani and head on to Tadapani via Deurali Pass (3090m). Tadapani also hosts a mind-blowing view of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6993m) and many other mountains and valleys.

Day 5: Tadapani - Kyumi - Pokhara. 6-7 hours.

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
We walk through lush rhododendron forest to reach to Ghandruk. After lunch in Ghandruk we descend on the stone staircases to Kyumi to take bus to Pokhara.

In the evening, you can hang around the pubs and restaurants of Pokhara.

Day 6: Bus drive back to Kathmandu. 7-8 hours.

We bid goodbye to the lake city and head back to Kathmandu on our private van. Enjoying the cool breeze and the green landscape, we arrive in the bustling Kathmandu city. You will be dropped at your hotel. Feel free to stroll and get a good taste of the capital city.
