Salvador Upper City tour - discover the World Heritage Site of Salvador.
On this tour, you will know the most important places in the old part of Salvador. As it has been the first capital of Brazil this is also a historical tour. We visit the neighborhood of Barra, the place where the Portuguese colony started and where I discovered Salvador some decades ago...
but I had more eye for the beaches at that time! We visit the iconic lighthouse to have a splendid view of the bay and ocean. We take the Avenue of the 7th of September to get to the Pelourinho, my favorite place in Salvador. It's also called the Historical Center, a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO, and it's a must for the visitors.
