The village of Châteauneuf du Pape is the heart of a region full of history. A magical place that appears on the hill rising out of a sea of vines.
At the summit the ruined château built by the popes in 14th century as a summer residence to escape the city heat of Avignon. The popes planted the town's first vineyards. On arrival visit the first local vineyard and learn about what makes the wines unique before lunch.
