Day 1: Pick up from Kilimanjaro international airport

Transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Town by Oreteti Safari tour guide with a 4x4 Landcruiser car. Dropped off at Ilboru Safari Lodge Hotel or similar standard Hotel/Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park full game drive
Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning after breakfast. You drive along with your guide to Lake Manyara National Park in the East African Rift Valley. The journey takes about 3 hours. The park is dominated by the lake of the same name, which attracts large colonies of water birds. Particularly impressive are the pink-colored flamingos, but there are also many other bird species such as cormorants, pelicans and storks. A total of about 400 different bird species live in the park. The park is also famous for its tree climbing lions, which are usually found in the central and open part of the park. During the safari you will also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and many other animal species. In the late afternoon you leave the national park, and will spend the night at a Lodge at Karatu.

Day 3: Full day game drive at Ngorongoro national park
Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
After an early breakfast, the day will start with a drive up the steep slopes of the East African Rift Valley to the Ngorongoro Crater, you will pick up lunch boxes and mineral water with you from the
hotel. Afterwards it continues on rough roads about 600 meters downwards into the crater. The crater has a diameter of 17-21 kilometers and is the home of a great animal kingdom. Nearly all the biodiversity of the East African savannah is gathered here, only giraffes and a few other animal species for which the rock faces are too steep do not live in the crater. Depending on the season, 15,000 to 25,000 animals are gathered here, more than two thirds are buffaloes, gnus, zebras and gazelles. This large number of grazers also explains why the crater contains the largest density of
predators in Africa. Beside other predators, more than 100 lions live here in several prides. The chances of watching the "Big Five" lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard within just a few hours are
particularly good. After lunch we drive up and out of the steep crater walls and then head to Serengeti National Park.

Day 4: Serengeti Game Drive

After breakfast, we will start the game drive where the vast savanna of the southern Serengeti opens before you. The park was founded in 1951 and is thus the oldest one in Tanzania. He is the heart of a
vast ecosystem, whose species-rich animal world is unique in the world. Together with the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, the Serengeti National Park is one of the largest natural migration systems for wild animals. Annualy between the three mentioned conservation areas migrate over 1.4 million gnus, almost 300,000 Thomson´s gazelles, about 200,000 zebras and several thousand topis with the rainy seasons to the areas with the greener and lush meadows. With about 3 million larger mammals, the Serengeti is the national park with the richest wildlife worldwide. Around two-thirds make up the above-mentioned animal species, furthermore the park is the home to many other animal species, such as giraffe, buffalo, hyena, elephant or crocodile. Particularly large is the population of feline predators, about 3000 lions, a good 300 cheetahs and an
estimated 400-700 leopards have their hunting ground here.

Day 6: Game Drive at Serengeti National Park
Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
This morning you will continue with further game drives in the Serengeti, at noon you will leave to Olduvai gouge, where you will have a chance to Immerse yourself in ancient history at the fascinating palaeoanthropological site of Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important in the world. Set between the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, the gorge makes a good stop if you’re travelling between the two, rewarding visitors with a presentation on its history, an excellent new museum, and beautiful views as well as the possibility of visiting an active dig and then after that you will drive to Karatu via Ngorongoro Crater. Both conservation areas are not separated by fences, on the way you can bserve with some luck some more wildlife. In the late afternoon you will return to Karatu with many impressions of your safari where you will spend the night at Bougainvillea properties.

Day 7: A visit to Lake Eyasi
Stop At: Karatu, Karatu, Arusha Region
After an early breakfast (around 7 am) you will drive to Lake Eyasi. The Hadzabe Bushmen are the last true hunter-gatherers in East Africa, around the lake live about 700-800 tribesmen in small groups. The Hadzabe live almost the same way as our own ancestors in the Stone Age. They hunt animals with bow and arrow and collect fruits, roots and honey from the baobab trees. After a welcome and an insight into the village life, it goes with some men on a common hunting. The hunt takes place at a fairly fast pace, especially when an animal is spotted. The Hadzabe hunt antelopes and gazelles, but also smaller animals such as birds or mongooses. In the late morning you will visit then the Datoga tribe. These pastoralists are also skilled blacksmiths. They collect metal scrap, which they cleverly process into bracelets, arrowheads and knives. You also have the opportunity to visit one of the huts in the village. Here you can watch the women how they grind flour from corn, from which later bread is baked. In the late afternoon you will return to Mto wa Mbu. On the way back you can enjoy the impressions of your safari and the unique visit to the Hadzabe Bushmen and Datoga.

Day 8: A visit to Lake Natron
Stop At: Lake Natron, Lake Natron, Arusha Region
After breakfast you are heading to Lake Natron. Just past Mto wa Mbu you leave the asphalted road, along the East African Rift Valley the drive continues on adventurous slopes. The drive leads past Maasai villages and the holy mountain of the Maasai, the Ol Doinyo Lengai. As soon as the Maasai village Ngare Sero comes into sight, it is not far to the lake. The outlet Lake Natron is the home of a remarkable variety of birds, in particular about 2.5 million dwarf flamingos; the lake serves them as a regular breeding ground. The water is strongly saline and the basis of life for unicellular algae and bacteria, which are responsible for the planar red-brown to purple-violet coloring of the lake. The area around Lake Natron is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt regions in Africa. You will make a hike to the lake and then you will visit the nearby waterfalls, a true oasis with awesome waters to swim. You´ll
stay overnight at Mto wa Mbu.

Day 9: Game drive at Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and together with your guide you drive to Tarangire National Park. In 1970, the national park emerged from a former colonial hunting ground. He has a very diverse animal world, not least because of its size, which corresponds to approximately Luxembourg. The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in the north of Tanzania, but is also home to many other wild animals. With some luck you can spot lions, cheetahs or leopards. The landscape of the park is very diverse. Especially the huge baobab trees, which are located close together in the north-eastern sector of the park, are particularly impressive. After an extensive game drive you stay at lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 10: Tour at Lake Duluti

After breakfast, we will go for a relaxing tour around Lake Duluti. At Lake Duluti you will come across reptiles like lizards and snakes because it is surrounded by thick forest. First you can enjoy canoeing and then proceed to hike through the thick forest along the lake. Also you can come across different bird species and also do fishing with guides. Lunch will be taken at picnic site.
