Kathmandu city is a riot of sounds colours and smells that can quickly lead to sensory overload. We visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhu Nath ( Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupati Nath Temple.

We start our daily at 8:30 AM from Thamel.

Kathmandu Full Day Exploration- an interesting tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, this place steeped with old history and rich culture visit of old royal durbar square and Hanuman dhoka (palace) then visit of old Kastamandap Temple (where Kathmandu name derived from) a temple built from a wood of a single tree, visit the Kumari Goddess (living virgin goddess) resident area where Kumari are of tender child age, after puberty period replaced by another young Kumari. Visit the famous freak street famous place of budget tourist and hippies before Thamel was established.

After a nice and interesting tour a short drive towards west of the city at Swayambhunath Stupa located on a hill top, with fabulous views of Kathmandu city, green hills that surrounds the valley and of high snow capped mountains.

Swayambhunath one of the oldest historical sites listed in world heritage of more than 2, 5000 years old Buddhist religious complex with huge dome shape stupa with four mystical eyes of Buddha overlooking four directions North, South, East and West. After an impressive tour visiting the monastery and small chapels this place surrounded with green forest with many monkeys around and this place is also known as “Monkey Temple”.

Then after drive towards north east reaching at Bouddhanath Stupa also called as “Little “Tibet” due to strong Tibetan influence in culture, traditions and Buddhist religion, Bouddhanath a huge dome with tow tier where one can walk up near the top with nice views of surrounding Bouddhanath area with shop, stores, restaurants and monasteries

Next,nice tour leads towards east of Kathmandu city at Pashupatinath Temple area, tourist or non-Hindu are not allowed inside the main temple, however one can overlook the temple from the bank of Bagmati river the holy and famous Shiva temple with golden pagoda tier roofs and four silver doors surrounded with lovely forest with many monkeys around. This place is flooded in the mid February on Shiva Ratri (birth anniversary of lord Shiva). Nearby on the opposite bank of the river funeral and cremation takes places for all Hindu religion.
