Stone carving provides the perfect conditions where you can allow your thoughts to wander as the activity of carving becomes instinctive and unconscious. Choose from marble, sandstone or chalk. Woodblock printing - creating a block from which you will make your own print gives you the choice of several approaches.
Carving into the wood's surface can result in an illustrative print that can be either pictorial or abstract. Using different mark-making techniques from a range of tools can result in creating a more abstract image. Using wooden stumps to print directly the natural pattern of the wood.
