Drvengrad
Your private tour guide will pick you up at 8 am sharp from your Belgrade accommodation. Enjoy the scenic ride through West Serbia until you reach the first stop, the famous Wooden town (Drvengrad in Serbian). This whole town looks like a movie set, and that's not far from truth! Founder of this place is a world famous movie director Emir Kusturica, who got an inspiration while filming his movie „Life is a miracle“ in this area. While you are in Drvengrad you can wander its streets named after the famous people Kusturica admires or you can do some shopping in the local market where local people sell their hand made products. Views and scenery is surreal so you'll be taking photos every step of the way.
45 minutesNature Park Mokra Gora
From Wooden town, you'll get to the nearby village of Mokra Gora where you’re getting onboard of romantic Sargan Eight train. During the 2,5h ride you will pass and stop at several stations and viewpoints which will give you a chance to take amazing photo shots. Authentic cars with wooden seats, wood burning stove and characteristic rattling sound will take you back to 1925, when this railway was opened. The track on this section is around 15km long and passes through 22 tunnels with overcoming an altitude difference of 300m.
2 hours 30 minutesTara National Park
On the way from Mokra Gora to Bajina Bašta you'll drive through the magnificent nature of the Tara National Park. This nature gem still holds plenty of wildlife so keep your eye on the forests around the road, you might spot foxes, wolves and even bears.
Drina River House
This area is not running out of attractions. Another stop for the day is famous Drina River House. An hour drive from Mokra Gora you'll take a break right next to another unusual spot, a house standing on a rock in the middle of a river. How did it end up there, you'll hear from your guide over a cup of coffee or 100% natural raspberry juice after which this area is known for.
30 minutesGate of Podrinje
You'll take a photo stop to enjoy spectacular views of Podrinje area from the observation deck Gate of Podrinje. Enjoy breathtaking views from this 1000m high point, overlooking mountain peaks in West Serbia, as well as in East Bosnia. From here you'll continue straight to Belgrade, to your drop-off point.
