Not us - we'll understand the huge effort that went in to getting the Bridge built, the lives lost and made, the scandals and celebrations. It's such a beautiful bridge but even better when you understand how it came to be.In many ways the story of New York is the story of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Almost nothing you see in the City existed before the Bridge - we'll use the Bridge as a way to understand the City that rose around it - the buildings, the other bridges, the transportation system, the people. And then there are all the fun stories that span 140 years. We'll have a jam packed 90 minutes exploring the bridge, the city, and their history.

2 Water St
We'll meet at the Shack Shack at the corner of Water Street and Old Fulton Street. Then we'll take a short walk over to Emily Roebling Plaza, beneath the Bridge on the Brooklyn Side. This offers the most spectacular views of the Bridge and is a great starting point for understanding how the Bridge was built.
30 minutesBrooklyn Bridge
Then we'll walk over the bridge, getting a chance to examine the architecture up close. Walking over the Bridge is an amazing experience and we'll talk about how much and how little this process has changed in the last 140 years.
1 hourCity Hall Area
We'll finish up on the Manhattan side of the Bridge inside the lovely City Hall Park where we can see the alternative side of the Bridge and discuss beautiful downtown Manhattan that has popped up around it.
