Excursion in the valley of Ourika and the Berber Villages extends between the first foothills of the Atlas, this beautiful green valley is certainly one of the best preserved in Morocco.
After crossing the fertile plain of Al Haouz, you reach the Douar of “Tnine de l’Ourika”.
This charming little town is a nerve center of the region.

Continuing along the Ourika valley, one is struck by the banks of the Oued whose meadows are generously shaded by poplars and other weeping willows which are unusual at this latitude.
We are surprised at the hard work undertaken by the Berber populations of the region who did not hesitate to hoist up the hillsides the materials necessary for the construction of small houses hung on the mountainside or to shape the terraces necessary for agriculture. in a hostile environment.
Once arrived, we leave our vehicle and leave with a local guide for a walk that will take us to the “Setti Fatma” waterfalls…
feet in the water of the river, we will enjoy chatting with the local inhabitants and why not share a good mint tea by the river, after lunch with a Berber family before returning to Marrakech.
