Golden Circle. Private Day Tour from Reykjavik
The Golden Circle is the most popular tour of Iceland’s most famous natural attractions. This tour combines historical and geological sites and is recommended for an initial introduction to the country. We shall visit the Thingvellir National Park, the geothermally active Haukadalur Valley with the Geysir and Strokkur geysers, and one of the symbols of Iceland – the Gullfoss waterfall.
Other attractions along the way include Friedheimar’s tomato greenhouse, Kerid Crater, and the Nesjavellir geothermal area.

Thingvellir National Park
Thingvellir National Park is known both historically and geologically. On the one hand, this is the place where the tectonic plates of America and Europe break, and on the other, it is a symbolically important place in the history of the formation of the Icelandic nation, the place of the formation of a national assembly since the time of the first settlers of the Viking Age.
1 hourHaukadalur
During this stop, we will take a walk through the small geothermal valley of Haukadalur, famous for its Geysir and Strokkur hot springs. Although Geysir is inactive today, Strokkur, the largest active geyser in the country, erupts every 5-10 minutes at an altitude of 20-35 meters (60-100 feet).
1 hourGullfoss Waterfall
Gullfoss is one of the most famous and beloved waterfalls in Iceland; it consists of two steps. The first cascade is 11 meters (33 feet), and the second drop is 21 meters (65 feet). The canyon walls into which the waterfall flows reach heights of up to 70 meters (230 feet). Geologists believe that glacial outbursts formed the canyon at the end of the last ice age.
1 hourFridheimar
Frideimar Tomato Greenhouse, the most famous greenhouse in Iceland, thanks to a small restaurant inside the greenhouse and tomatoes' dishes. Get a special experience by visiting the greenhouse and sample the local tomato soup with freshly baked bread served with cucumber salsa.
1 hourKerid Crater
Kerid is a compact crater with a small lake at the bottom, formed after an eruption about three thousand years ago. The crater is 55 meters (180 feet) deep and has an oval caldera as a part of the larger Tjarnarholar Fault, including several craters and hills. We can walk around the crater or go down to the lake at the bottom of the crater.
