The BEER WAY TO FREEDOM is an outdoor and culinary trail around the 4 breweries of Kamnik, the town with the most breweries per capita in the world.You will taste craft beers of 4 Kamnik's microbreweries and have 3 delicious snacks, all while enjoying walking around the great outdoors of the Slovene Alpine area. You will get to look inside one brewery.THE BEER OF FREEDOMKamnik was the home of Rudolf Maister, the liberator of the Slovenian northern border. He was born here right at the time of a real hop-growing and brewing boom.
This is when, according to the local myth, the beer of freedom was created near Kamnik, which inspired all the great inventors of its time. The same myth, a century and a half later, inspired the Statue of Liberty in a nearby village, scandalous enough to resonate throughout global media. We have recreated the Beer of Freedom and planned an adventure for you that will immerse you in the free spirit of Kamnik's citizens, all in a fun and interactive way.
