You’ll get to ask all of your questions, and as the group size is limited to 8, you’ll get more interaction with your guide. Senate Square
The most important square of the city, and probably all Finland. Here we'll see the Helsinki Cathedral, the old Senate, the University of Helsinki, the National Library and the Statue of Alexander the II. On the Senate Square we'll learn about Helsinki's past, how did we develop from a tiny fisherman town into a bustling capital of Finland?

Helsinki's main sight, the unique Helsinki Cathedral, which inaugurated in 1852. The Cathedral stands on the main square of Helsinki, the Senate Square.
5 minutesThe Bank of Finland
The Bank of Finland, a building from 1883 right behind the Helsinki Cathedral. Here we will learn about a famous Finnish Journalist & Philosophist of the 19th century, J.V Snellman. We'll discuss about his role on the development of the Finnish language, and we'll also shortly comment about Finland's position on the WWII.

The House of the Estate is a stunning neo-renessaince building, that used to function as a political center of Finland during the 19th century. Here we'll learn about the politics in Finland, past and present.
5 minutesUspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali)
The largest Orthodox Cathedral of North-Western Europe. Why is is located in a Lutheran country though?

The famous Helsinki Market Square. Loved among tourists and locals. We'll pass through the market, and talk about Finnish Gastronomy. In the market square we'll also see the President's Palace, the Helsinki City Hall and a sauna-spa complex Allas Sea Pool. I will give you insights of this Finns favorite cultural habit, sauna & ice-swimming.
15 minutesThe Esplanadi Park
Picturesque Parisian style park in the heart of Helsinki. We'll pass by it on our way towards Helsinki's Railway Station.
5 minutesHelsinki Central Railway Station
Helsinki Central Railway Station from 1919, by a famous Finnish architect, Eliel Saarinen. We'll pass by it and comment about the wide and incredible railway network of Finland. On the Railway Square you'll also see our National Gallery, Ateneum and the National Theater of Finland.
5 minutesCentral Library Oodi
The building most Helsinkians are very proud of. Our award-winning central library Oodi. This is where the tour will end, and you'll get to visit the library afterwards on your own. Next to the library you're also abre to see the Parliament building, the Music Centre and the Kiasma museum
