Many of the damned were only visitors, trapped here by their mistakes and misdeeds, and on this tour you will hear their stories and discover some of the darker moments of Falmouth's past. A street that has played host to some of the grimmest moments in Falmouth's history. Only one word is necessary to give you a flavour — cannibalism.
20 minutesFish Strand Quay
On the historic quayside we look out on the harbour and imagine a local lad sailing out of it, many years ago. His tale is a desperate one, but not without some redemption.
10 minutesThe Parish Church of King Charles the Martyr
A rich array of tales awaits us here. Some awful, some moving, and some, really quite funny.
