The valley is surrounded by Langtang Lirung (7246m) to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kanga (5846m) to the south and Dorje Lakpa (6966m) towards the East. Today, as our 8 day Langtang Valley trek continues, the trail climbs gradually through quaint villages and rolling green pasture. Trekking onward the valley opens before us offering breathtaking views to Kyanjin and a long dramatic look back over the Langtang Valley. Named after the centuries-old Buddhist monastery Kyanjin Gompa, the village of Kyanjin, surrounded by snowcapped mountains, is the perfect resting point for trekkers and offers an abundance of side trips for you to explore.
