Taras Shevchenko National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine
The National Opera of Ukraine was first established in 1867, it is the third oldest opera house in the country. They perform at the National Opera House in Kiev which was named after Taras Schevchenko, the famous poet and artist and was constructed in 1901. An excellent programme of Opera and Ballet still takes place there with affordable tickets available.
Golden Gate
The Golden Gate is one of the most well-known sights of Kiev. It used to be the main gate of the ancient Kiev for centuries. Now it turned into one of the main attractions of the Ukrainian capital. Don't forget to find the most popular Cat in town, get to know the legend and make a wish :)

Saint-Sophia Cathedral, located in the historic centre of Kiev, is one of the major monuments representing the architectural and the monumental art of the early 11th century!

It charms with its legendary history, inimitable colors, and unique architectural ensemble. We are going to see the most stunning temple in the city - St Andrew's Church and learn the mystical stories behind it! By the way you can look for souvenirs here as well :)

St. Michael’s Cathedral is located opposite St. Sophia’s Cathedral. The original, built by Prince Sviatopolk in 1108, was destroyed by the Soviet regime in the 1930s for having “no historical value.” The reconstructed cathedral was completed in May 2000. This is one of the main temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kiev Patriarchate. Simply cannot be missed during city tour!
