Indy Walking Tours is a guided 90 minute comprehensive walking tour through the city streets of Indianapolis. Our easy stroll through the city streets of Indianapolis will cover the:Indiana War Memorial Historic District, Mass Ave, the Wholesale District, City Market, the Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument and various points in between.We'll take a trip back in time to the 1800's, when Indianapolis was a dense malaria infested forest still battling native American tribes. Then, we'll travel ahead a few years to the antebellum period and discover a story of local true crime.
Next we'll delve into the post Civil War period and discover the monuments to remember the heartaches and loss of war. We'll also hear about one of the most popular spiritualists of her time. Art Deco takes center stage in the 1930's to 50's as does the story of a rite-of-passage from the 1960's.

We will stop at many sights on the circle.
Indianapolis City Market
About halfway through the tour, we will take a short break at Indy City Market where you can use the restroom and grab and drink or snack. Because Indianapolis is an open container city, you will be permitted to order a beer at Tomlinson Taproom and take it with you on the rest of our journey.
