Itinerary

Day 1: From Matera to Grassano (43Km for 720m of elevation gain)

Stop At: Riserva Naturale San Giuliano, S.s.7 Km 560 Exit Diga San Giuliano, 75010 Miglionico Italy
Once out of Matera and completed the long descent, we will find ourselves pedaling in a charming old road that runs alongside the lake and we will have the opportunity to make several stops to take beautiful photos with the afternoon light.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Grassano, Grassano, Province of Matera, Basilicata
Grassano is the place where Carlo levi, author of "Christ stopped at Eboli", began his period of confinement before being transferred to Aliano
Duration: 2 hours

Meals included:
• Dinner: For dinner we will go to the village square which is full of people who typically entertain themselves while chatting.
Accommodation included: We will stay in one of the very few B & Bs in the country. a simple but fully equipped solution.

Day 2: From Grassano to Pietrapertosa to Agriturismo il Calanco (60Km for 600m of elevation gain)

Stop At: Craco, Craco, Province of Matera, Basilicata
The town of Craco stands on a hill overlooking the surreal landscape of the gullies which are clayey hills artistically dissolved by atmospheric agents. The external visit is free, but inside it is not always guaranteed and tickets are not included
Duration: 1 hour

Meals included:

• Dinner: We will have dinner at the Il Calanco farmhouse with a fixed menu
Accommodation included: Agriturismo Il Calanco or structures of the same level in the town of Pisticci

Day 3: From Agriturismo Il Calanco in Matera (55Km for 1150m elevation gain)

Stop At: Pomarico, Pomarico, Province of Matera, Basilicata
The historic center, still partly abandoned due to a recent landslide, stands on a hill. We will stop near the historic center to get something to drink or an ice cream
Duration: 30 minutes

Meals included:
• Lunch: We should be back for lunch, but in Pomarico we will stop at the Centrale bar for ice cream or something to drink
No accommodation included on this day.

• Use of pedal assisted bicycles (€ 50 to be paid separately)
• Entrance and guided tour of Craco

• Travelers should have a strong physical fitness level
