We start at the world famous Kirstenbosch for an informative walk around some of the highlights of the gardens including the new canopy bridge. We then start the climb up Skeleton Gorge following crystal clear streams. The gorge is fill of indigenous forest so we are protected from the elements up this initial climb.
Once at the top we enjoy well deserved snacks overlooking a dam found at the top of the mountain. Its now time to move across the table-top, there is a drastic change in vegetation with flower-strewn fynbos, crystal clear streams and panoramic views of Cape Town and the city’s surrounding mountain ranges. Reaching the highest point of the mountain, Maclear’s Beacon (1065m), the views open up to take in Table Bay and Robben Island.
