This former elevator used to transport people from Rua Áurea to Largo do Carmo where the ruins of the Carmo Church are located.

As we cross Rua Augusta we can see this magnificent Arch where you can find such important figures as Viriato and Marquês de Pombal.

Here we will stop to admire one of the most beautiful views in the city. You will also be able to see São Vicente (holding the symbol of Lisbon), Alfama (the second oldest district in Europe).
