Marrakech Shopping Hidden Souks
Marrakech Shopping Hidden Souks
The souks of the medina of Marrakech are veritable labyrinths of stalls and craft workshops, organized by district and trade and bring together more than 2,600 Moroccan craftsmen for some twenty corporations. The main souk extends to the center of the medina, from the north of the famous Jemaa el-Fna square to the Ben Youssef medersa. The central alleys that cross the souks are reserved for sales stalls originally supplied by the craftsmen who work in the adjacent alleys.
Local traders and craftsmen make and sell their traditional Moroccan craft production: jewellery, vases, teapots, lanterns, cauldrons, trays..., carpets, leather, body care, clothing, fabrics, pottery, perfumes, food, Moroccan pastries, spices... At the start of the three-hour tour, you'll be asked which items interest you most and your guide will create a personalized itinerary that best suits the group.
