This route makes a circuit to the west of Ronda, passing through two small, sleepy white villages. It includes a couple of good hill climbs (no problem with the e-bikes) and some long descents.We follow quiet trails into Ronda and then head down into the valley directly below the town, for great views up to the main Puente Nuevo bridge. We climb out of the valley and then drop down again to the Guadiaro river, where we make a short stop at the Cueva del Gato, “Cat Cave”.
This local beauty spot, with a small waterfall and beautiful pool of crystal clear water. We climb steadily up into the mountains, through the village of Benaojan and on to Montejaque, where we usually make a quick coffee stop on the village square. Just beyond Montejaque, is a short stretch of twisting mountain road which dips into a gorge and back out the other side.
