This tribute to our soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice in Afghanistan is 3kms from Yungaburra. Subsequent to the funeral of one of Yungaburra's favourite sons a community decision was made to construct this living memorial. If you are in Yungaburra it is a must visit.

George Curry an early surveyor, concerned with the rapidly diminishing rainforest, applied for and was granted a perpetual lease of one acre on the shore of the lake and in collaboration with the local council and the State Forestry Dept formed a Lake's Trust. The Curry family invite you to enjoy the view and food in their Teahouse.

A popular waterfall suitable for picnics and swimming. Surrounded by rainforest walks with a variety of wildlife such as the Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo. We drop into the adjacent Visitor Information Centre with its many educational displays.

We travel on to visit a spectacular waterfall, Millaa Millaa Waterfall. In fact, one of the most photographed waterfalls in Australia. Even in winter it is popular for swimming and on this tour you will have time for a swim.
