Ringstrasse
The Ringstrasse is a circular grand boulevard that serves as a ring road around Vienna's historic Innere Stadt district. The road is located on sites where medieval city fortifications once stood. It is home to many of Vienna's best known sites, the Vienna Opera, the City Hall, the University and State Museums. It represents the affluence and sophistication of modern Viennese society.
