The paths through the olive groves are truly wonderful and the history along the way is quite fascinating. Some of the olive trees are very old and were planted by the Romans! Daniele is very passionate about the area and the history.
He brought us to a family owned Masseria to try and purchase some cheese. We stopped along the way for Daniele to point out special features and visited historic and working olive mills. Daniele is super nice, his English is great and he is very accomodating!
