- Drive further to take a small hike to Nyzergang to visit the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. The scene from the stupa is spectacular. The Stupa stand majestically on the high hill top of the Punakha Valley. This structure is a classic example of gorgeous traditions and architecture and was built by the Queen Mother for dispelling negative forces and to maintain peace and harmony in the country and for all the living beings.

After a good lunch begin your hike down the Gangtey Trail through the pine forests. It offers you beautiful landscape of the Phobjikha Valley.Phobjikha valley is without doubt one of the beautiful valley. The hike will take you about 1 hour to 2 and half hour. Meet your driver waiting for you at the other end of the road. .

● Visit National Memorial Chorten: The building of this landmark was envisaged by the third king, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, as a monument to world peace and prosperity. Completed in 1974 after his untimely death, it is both a memorial to the Late King (” the father of modern Bhutan “) and a monument to world peace. The paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy.

For other nationalities other than the mentioned one, the Government royalties (Sustainable Development Fund) of USD 65 per person per night is applicable and also the one time Visa Fee of USD40 per person and if travelling in a group of one or two then the additional Government Supplement of USD 40 & USD 30 per person per night is applicable respectively. This is the minimum daily package requirement for visa approval.
