The Mutianyu Great Wall is relatively untouched - it is less commercialized, sees fewer tourists and has undergone less restoration work. Standing on top of the wall allows for a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside , which is planted with fruit and chestnut orchards, and dotted with old pine.

Meet the guide at exit C of Zhang Zi Zhong Lu Subway station (just out of the station beside the road). The tour bus and tour guide may be a few minutes late because of the local traffic, which is normal. Please make sure to be there no later than 07:15 a.m. and wait patiently as the tour bus is not allowed to park for long. All the guests are expected to get on the bus immediately once the bus arrives and leaves soon after that.

On the way to Mutianyu Great Wall. It takes around 2 hours to get to Mutianyu Great Wall from the city. The tour guide will give you some information in detail about the history and the Great Wall.

Arrive at Mutianyu Great Wall. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for you and send you in. You'll have some hours as free time to be on the Wall. You are expected to meet the tour guide again at the designated point (the same place where you enter). If you would like to take the cable car or toboggan to get on or down from the Great Wall, please ask the tour guide to help you with the tickets. But the ticket of cable care and toboggan is NOT included in the tour.

Lunch. Lunch is arranged just nearby the entrance of Mutianyu Great Wall. The lunch is served in a Chinese way: all the people sitting around a round table and share all the dishes on the table. The dishes are for all the people at present, NOT one plate for one person. The main food is plain rice. Beverage and drinks are not included in the lunch.

Return to the city. It takes around 2 hours to get back to the city. Usually the tour bus will take you to the same subway station where you meet the guide in the morning. But if you need to be dropped off somewhere else in the city or around some other subway station, please talk with the tour guide in advance and see if it is possible.
