With this tour you can discover every part of the famous Buda Castle district, those parts as well, that the sightseeing tours provided by Danube cruise companies can not - due to the limited time available for sightseeing. As an extra it also includes a guided visit to the Matthias church as well. This tour is meant to be a relaxed pace walking tour, where there is always time for a slice of strudel and coffee, or to spend time admiring the views of the city. --- Kindly note that the Castle bazaar is an all time favourite venue of the Hungarian government to host diplomatic events, in case of such we wont be able to cross the facility Also should there be a concert, or wedding in the Matthias church the venue remains closed for the public. --- Kindly note that the tour can be tailor made for you, excluding those parts covered by different sightseeing tours to make sure there are no overlaps. In that case we adjust our itinerary.

This tour is a classical Budapest sightseeing program following the route of the Hungarian "guerilla" artist, Michael Kolodko's mini statues. It's a perfect program for first-time visitors because many of the statues are near to main attractions, but at the same time, it's a special experience, as others are located in the local neighborhoods. This walking tour is a real treasure hunt; while you look for the art pieces on the streets, you can admire beautiful attractions like the Chain bridge, and listen to the stories that the artist wants to tell us through his statues. The perfect combination: a bit of a general, a bit of the hidden gems.

We have created this experience so one can get to know facts and our opinion on Hungary's recent past and present including changing from Communism to democracy and the creation of "illiberal democracy" in the past few years. Or in fact - you can hear about our opinion in just about everything regarding Budapest, Hungary and beyond. We believe in honesty and will try to answer all questions. How this experience goes depends on you. But if you don't have exact questions, we give an introduction to Hungary's modern era focusing on the last 30 years and mainly on historical, economical and political aspects in the first part of the conversation. Which is followed by entering a conversation where you are able to ask anything you've ever wanted about Hungary: let it be controversial politics, its turbulent past or uncertain future, economy, our personal opinion, ideas for change, etc. Maximum 6 guests.
